Kate Moss’s collection earns £3 million within a week via Topshop, a record till date

Picture this: A designer showroom occupied with antique collection, launched just a week-back. What all fancies would gyrate in the owner’s mind? Many….but the top-most has to be the sales generation. Around thousand of thoughts related to when I will be able to reach the break even point. Right?
But Model Kate Moss is away from the mob as without a thought she has registered a sale of £3m within a week’s period. Her designer collection at Topshop is spell-bounding and the figure earned by it via Kate’s name is even beyond their expectations.
Last week, model’s fashion range was launched in New York’s upmarket department store Barneys and a week before this the collection spread its charm in Stockholm.
Considering the glory of the group, I think it’s a right move on owner Philip Green’s (one of the Britain’s most successful retailers) behalf to expand it business in Manhattan via launching three stores.
‘We are looking for sites this week (in the States) but realistically nine months is the time horizon to get a store sorted and opened,’ Green said.
In another few months you can expect a sister concern of Topshop in Paris as Green is very enthusiastic about the same. Moss was rewarded with £3 million to design the 50 item range for Top Shop.
Topshop’s presence in the United States can be seen as an emergence of interesting competition with rivals like Marks & Spencer.
