These outfits characterize diamante detail, trimmed with ruffles and lace embellishments. The floor- skimming gowns were especially the remarkable feature of his show.

Valentino drew on the symbols of the Italian “dolce vita” - opera, glamorous gowns and gelato – as his inspiration for the show. This collection marked his signature style. The show was a big hit as the guests were elated by the couture collection that he presented.
