The Zenith of the Paris Fashion Week: Alexander McQueen
I must appreciate the way in which Alexander McQueen honored his guide late Isabella Blow and paid a tribute to the woman who contributed the most to his success. The presentation was surely the zenith of the whole event. The designer’s assiduous effort in making this display as one of his best till date was very much apparent in the show. He definitely showed his creativity through his art. The expertise with which each outfit was tailored exhibited his attitude of perfection.
The theme of the aerial animals (birds) was a dominant factor in the show. The birds were used as a symbol for Blow, his mentor. The bird imagery was a prevalent part of the whole collection, occupying ample space in the outfits, accessories, and face-painting.
The silhouette reflecting airy rainbow-bird-wing-print is the apex of the show. The floating bird-of-paradise prints were fantabulous. The use of feathers on head-dresses was gorgeous. Each head dress was a unique piece of creation. The fairy-goddesses in the chiffon fabrics looked stunning. Overall, the collection was overwhelming.
There were many designers who esteemed the fashion week by their presence. These are Dice Kayek, Junya Watanabe, Gaultier,Vanessa Bruno, Tao Kurihara, Balmain, Vivienne Westwood, Tsumori Chisato, Robert Normad, John Galliano , Andrew Gn, Stanislassia Klein, Karl Lagerfeld and many more.
