London Fashion Week
Posted in Always in Style, Designer, Designer Clothes, Fashion, Fashion Show, Fashion news, Fashion week, models on 28 July 2008

Be it London or any other part of the globe; a fashion week means the world to the people involved in it. As we all know; that in the UK its snowing almost all through the year and so being the case; Fashion weeks are ristricted to almost entirely warm desiner clothings or apparels.

Though, one may come across a stray person with summer clothing. Both women and men involved with fashion are quite naturally vain, infact they need to be. It is the basic requirement of the Fashion industry. Sometimes such people are arrogant too. They seem to think that are of a different breed.

Leather; whether poached or otherwise is widely used for making an array of apparels in the UK. The body hugging variety tends to flaunt the figure of a well shaped human body; irrespective of the gender. In Fashion weeks in England females with well developed curves at the right places; love to exhibit their figures and grab attention.

They love to do this; besides they are paid handsomely for it. Models earn more than movie stars. Its all togather a different issue that they graduate to Hollywood after modelling and there are many cases, wherein modelling has been used as a stepping stone towards stardom.

Mischa Barton’s days as an A-list actress are basically over. But, she’s still big in fashion. From New York to Berlin, this girl will show up anywhere! Although actual Germans Heidi Klum and Diane Kruger didn’t feel the need to make an appearance at their country’s fashion week, no worries — Mischa was there to make a scene instead.

Fashion Week In Hong Kong
Posted in Fashion week, Stylish on 15 July 2008

Fashion Week In Hong Kong., asia, designer, expire-images2009-7-14, fashion week, fluctuation with construction, hong kong, HongKong, international style, law ka cho, models,

Hong Kong Fashion Week came and went without making too much of a blip on the overall fashion radar, but here at Styleadsh, we took notice. Held from the 8th-11th of this month there were quite a few killer designs that came down the runway over on the other side of the world!

Street style in Hong Kong is very funky and innovative, so it was fun to see which designers gave the city look their own twist.

Renus Wan did a collection called, Enjoy Our Selfhood Life in the City Corner, which featured hoodies, lots of layering, bright colors and sneakers — kind of like Avril Lavigne’s line, but edgier.

New Organism designer Ronny Ng played on the stereotypes we often have of Asia — that their technology is so advanced they all drive flying cars and wear space suits to work. He did a very futuristic collection with shiny fabrics and sleek shapes.

Our favorite collection, by far, was Fluctuation with Construction by Law Ka Cho. We adored the slouchy trousers, black and orange color combo and high waisted skirts. Everything that came out onto that runway was gorgeous and perfectly in keeping with this season’s trends.

hallelujah: it’s ok to wear things twice

hallelujah, hallelujah, fashion

It was not that long ago that fashion’s is nearly everyone recognizable faces would only never deign to wear same thing of clothing more than once, but they would smooth modify during day to avoid too several alike front-row looks. But Emmanuelle Alt, the Paris Vogue creator whom many look to for sartorial inspiration, bucked that trend Wednesday morning when she showed up at Roland Mouret’s group in the exact same zebra-print Balmain cropped trousers that she debuted at Monday’s Christian Dior Haute Couture show. Taking the idea of do again wearing a step further, she paired them with the identical Azzedine Alaïa lace-up stilettos that her boss, Carine Roitfeld (that’s the two of them at Ralph Lauren’s Fall 08 show, above), was wearing that day as well—the same ones the duo both wore on Monday.

Ghost models at Paris: Yamamoto collection

Ghost model

Well, this is in deed shocking. We have never before encountered ghost models walking up the ramp. The ground breaking presentation by the famous fashion designer Yamamoto at Paris simply stunned the audience at the show. This model, Sergio Lo Re, that made his entry at the fashion show of Vivienne Westwood, is just like a ghost who has come alive. Actually, at a close look, he does not resemble ghostly figures, but his appearance for a distance speaks some frightening stories.

Yohji Yamamoto has really done a commendable job in bringing up these great ideas of ghost walk on the ramp. Such eclectic and innovative concepts are so much appreciated in the world of fashion. The creative fashion designer gave a new touch to fashion and style by designing extremely shabby suits which had scissor prints and some quite strange Chinese embroidery.

This is yet to be witnessed if this new trend of shabbiness works for women wear too. The ruggedness and untidiness in the attire can come out as a beautiful theme for fashion shows to be held in the month of September. How ironical!
